NDIS Support Worker Locations
Across Australia

A roster gap never picks a convenient time. It shows up the night before a shift, or worse, on the morning of.
For NDIS providers, finding a screened worker who is actually free and actually close enough to get there usually means hours on the phone or scrolling through old contact lists. That is time better spent on care coordination, not on chasing cover.

CarerMarket connects NDIS providers directly with screened, available support workers. Post a shift, and the matching system checks skills, location, and availability, then assigns cover. So your team spends less time searching and more time supporting the people who rely on you. We are launching from Melbourne and expanding across Australia, city by city, with NDIS worker screening and ID checks built into every match from day one.

The Model

How CarerMarket Fits In

CarerMarket is a workforce marketplace that sits between two groups: NDIS providers and support workers.

Providers post shifts. CarerMarket matches those shifts with screened support workers based on skills, location, and availability. CarerMarket does not offer plan management services, and it does not connect NDIS participants directly with support workers.

That focus keeps the platform simple: providers get shifts filled, and support workers get matched to shifts that fit their skills and location.

How it Works

How CarerMarket Works

The process is the same in every region we serve:

1

Post the shift.

Add the date, time, address, and support type. It takes a couple of minutes, whether it is one shift or an ongoing roster.

2

Get matched automatically.

The system checks skills, distance, and availability before assigning a worker, so nobody has to scroll through profiles.

3

Confirm arrival with QR check-in.

GPS location is checked against the shift address before the shift starts, so you know the right worker made it on site.

Because matching happens automatically, providers skip the back-and-forth of manual scheduling, and workers spend less time waiting on a reply.

Why providers choose CarerMarket

Why Providers Across Australia Choose CarerMarket

Automatic matching. Every shift is matched on worker skills, location, availability, and current demand, not guesswork.

Screened, verified workers. NDIS worker screening and ID checks happen before anyone can accept a shift.

QR check-in. The system verifies a worker's location against the shift address before the shift begins.

A transparent process. From posting a shift through approval, providers can see what is happening at every step.

Money back if no worker accepts. Post a shift in a growing region with a safety net. Terms and Conditions apply.

Once a shift is approved, payment proceeds according to the CarerMarket payment process.

Verification

Support Worker Verification & Onboarding

Every support worker on CarerMarket completes the platform's onboarding and verification process before they become eligible for shift matching. NDIS worker screening and ID checks happen first, so providers only ever see workers who have already cleared that step.

Coverage

Launching From Melbourne, Expanding Across Australia

Melbourne currently has the most active worker network on CarerMarket, since that is where the platform launched. Coverage in other regions continues to grow as more support workers join the platform.

That means providers anywhere in Australia can post a shift today. In regions where our worker network is still growing, a match may take a little longer while local coverage builds, and the platform shows what is available before a shift is confirmed.

If you are a support worker in a growing region, signing up now puts you first in line as local demand picks up.

Where We Operate

Coverage Across Australia

Here is what providers and support workers can expect in each region, and where coverage is expanding next.

Northern Territory

Running an NDIS service across the Territory means covering long distances with a small pool of reliable people. CarerMarket closes the gap between posting a shift and getting it covered, wherever you are based in the NT. As more workers join in the Northern Territory, coverage grows across Darwin, Palmerston, Alice Springs, and Katherine. Providers can post a shift today, and get matched as local coverage builds.

Canberra

Canberra's suburbs sit spread wide, and a roster gap in Belconnen or Tuggeranong can throw off a whole week. CarerMarket checks skills, availability, and proximity across the ACT before assigning a worker. As more workers join in Canberra (ACT), coverage grows across Belconnen, Gungahlin, Woden Valley, Tuggeranong, Weston Creek, and the Inner North and South. Providers can post a shift today, and get matched as local coverage builds.

Sydney

Sydney's size is the real challenge. A provider in Parramatta needs a different worker pool than one in Bondi or Liverpool, and CarerMarket builds that distance check straight into the match. As more workers join in Sydney, coverage grows across the Inner West, Western Sydney, the Sutherland Shire, and the North Shore. Providers can post a shift today, and get matched as local coverage builds.

Melbourne

As our home base, Melbourne has the earliest and most active worker coverage on CarerMarket. A shift in Werribee needs a different worker pool than one in Dandenong or the inner city, and this is where automatic, location-based matching does the most work for providers today. As more workers join in Melbourne, coverage grows across the inner city, Dandenong, Werribee, Frankston, and the northern suburbs. Providers can post a shift today, and get matched as local coverage builds.

Brisbane

Brisbane sprawls across Chermside, North Lakes, Ipswich, Logan, and the Redlands, and a short-notice shift often comes down to who is actually close enough to get there. As more workers join in Brisbane, coverage grows across Chermside, North Lakes, Ipswich, Logan, and the Redlands. Providers can post a shift today, and get matched as local coverage builds.

Perth

Perth stretches from Joondalup down to Rockingham and Armadale, so a provider covering a shift in Fremantle or Midland needs more than a contact list to find someone nearby. As more workers join in Perth, coverage grows across Joondalup, Fremantle, Midland, Rockingham, and Armadale. Providers can post a shift today, and get matched as local coverage builds.

Adelaide

From Elizabeth and Salisbury in the north to Marion, Mount Barker, and Gawler, Adelaide covers plenty of ground, and CarerMarket’s matching accounts for that spread automatically. As more workers join in Adelaide, coverage grows across Elizabeth, Salisbury, Marion, Mount Barker, and Gawler. Providers can post a shift today, and get matched as local coverage builds.

Tasmania

Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, and Burnie sit spread across the island, and sourcing local cover by hand often comes up short simply because of distance. CarerMarket matches shifts to local, screened workers automatically. As more workers join in Tasmania, coverage grows across Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, and Burnie. Providers can post a shift today and get matched as local coverage builds.
